Delivering your AI Vision with IBM and Meridian IT

At Think London 2018, Meridian IT will show case MAIVis, our recently announced AI Vision as a Service. AI Vision is being used across industry for image recognition, detection and classification. With use cases in Cancer Research, Manufacturing and Insurance, MAIVis accelerates time to deployment for image based AI algorithms at a fraction of the capital costs normally associated with this technology. Available as a hosted or on premise solution, MAIVis benefits are easily visualised and quick to deploy.

We will also be showcasing solutions from the Meridian IT Ecosystem, including a social sentiment analysis tool which measures the emotions behind social media mentions. It assesses the manner and tone of a conversation that's taking place on social media forums: is the person satisfied, happy, angry, or annoyed? Organisations can then use the sentiment analysis to research public opinion of their company, products and brand. The primary data source for the tool is Twitter and via an API the data can be made available to IBM Watson and integrated within marketing apps and dashboards.

Karantis360 is a totally new development in assisted living, designed to help transform delivery of care for elderly or infirm clients, those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia or clients returning from hospital stays.

Developed in partnership with IBM, Karantis360 uses a non-intrusive system of sensors, machine learning and analytics to flag exceptions to routines and habits, such as whether a client has got out of bed, boiled the kettle, fallen on the floor, etc. Real-time, detailed exception alerts are designed to transform delivery of care and to help clients to live more independently and safely in their own homes for longer, or to safely return home from hospital.
