Day 4 – Saturday 11th September 2010
People and Skills for a Sustainable Future
Preparing the workforce and workplace for future jobs
How can business, government, NGOs and academics build the leadership and organisational structures we’ll need for the sustainable workforce of tomorrow?
Much of the sustainable future depends on workforce development – shaping people’s behaviour, values and skills. Smarter work ethics and improved productivity involves redefining people’s roles as individuals, citizens and employees.
A debate with leading thinkers on the workforce and workplace explored how we can motivate people, where we should locate them and how we need to reward them to work towards a sustainable future.
