The IBM Summit at Start

Moving business towards a sustainable future
The IBM Summit at Start brought together key thought leaders in business, government and academics. By recognising that sustainability needs to be economically viable – as well as socially and environmentally desirable - the summit identified some of the challenges ahead, considered how to overcome them and explored opportunities to lead business towards a sustainable future.
Paving the way to a smarter future
IBM has been proud to host this inspirational gathering. Held over nine days from September 8th - 16th 2010, this has been an exclusive opportunity to engage with inspirational speakers and consider the challenges we face in bringing about environmental, social and economic sustainability.
Inspiring. Engaging. Challenging.
Keynote speakers addressed vital issues such as how to create smarter cities, energy, transport, people and skills, youth, supply chains, finance, information and business. This was a valuable opportunity for people to join in the debate and share ideas on how to build a sustainable future with the emphasis on the role of business in leading change.
