Public transport

There is a bus stop in front of the building (line 49 and 50). Brussels- South station is only five minutes away.

By car

South Bank is less than half a mile from Waterloo station. From the main roundabout to the north of the station, take the Stamford Street exit and then first left into Cornwall Road. The IBM building faces you at the end of Cornwall Road.

By train

Waterloo (BR), Waterloo East (BR) and Blackfriars (Thameslink) stations are all within walking distance. London's other mainline stations are within fifteen minutes by London Underground to Waterloo station. Travel information can be obtained from BR on 0845 300 7000 or Thameslink on 0845 330 6333.

By underground

Tube maps are available from most underground stations. Waterloo is on the following underground lines: Northern, Bakerloo, Jubilee and Waterloo and City. The Northern line has two branches, so make sure the train you board is going to Waterloo. The Waterloo and City line links Waterloo to Bank station on the Central line. Travel information for London Underground is available on 020 7222 1234.

On foot

Walking from the stations is straightforward, though you may prefer to take a taxi. IBM's South Bank building is located between the Royal National Theatre and the London Weekend Television Studios. From Waterloo, follow the signs from the station for the South Bank. Get to road level, York Road, and head north towards the rail bridge, bear left under the bridge, into Concert Hall Approach, heading for the Royal Festival Hall. Turn right onto Belvedere Road (which becomes Upper Ground as you walk under the bridge) past the Royal National Theatre, and IBM is on your left.

From Waterloo East walk up Cornwall Road and IBM is opposite you. From Blackfriars, walk over Blackfriars Bridge, turn first right into Upper Ground and IBM is just past LWT Studios.

By taxi

By air

From Heathrow airport: travel to Waterloo station by London Underground. From Gatwick airport travel to Waterloo by train via Victoria or Clapham Junction stations.

Prior to joining SPSS, he was VP of Software Equity Research at Lazard Frères, New York, providing institutional investors with recommendations, analyzing startup companies for venture capital funding and engaged in merger and acquisition activities. Before Lazard, Erick was Research Director of Advanced Technologies at the Gartner Group focusing on decision support systems, knowledge management and advanced software engineering architectures. Prior to Gartner, Erick completed a scientific mission for the French Embassy in the United States. Erick has published extensively in the domains of artificial intelligence systems, system sciences, applied mathematics, complex systems and cybernetics. Erick’s research as a Ph.D. candidate at University of Delaware was aimed at knowledge engineering within a cognitive sciences multidisciplinary program.

Misha Glenny

Misha Glenny is an award winning author and journalist who has been working in Eastern and Central Europe for 20 years. A former BBC Central Europe Correspondent, Misha is also the author of four best-selling books and has spent several years in a courageous investigation of organised crime networks worldwide.

Jim Chapman

Jim Chapman is one of YouTube’s most influential faces, with over 2 million subscribers and more than 95 million unique views. One of the UK’s top vloggers, Jim’s significant online presence has led him to become an authoritative voice on online culture.
Outside of YouTube, Jim is renowned for his impeccable sense of style and has quickly become one of the most documented faces of London Collections: Men each season. This year, the readers of voted him No.1 in the prestigious annual ‘GQ’s Best Dressed List’. Building on his fashion credentials, Jim has worked with brands like Mulberry, Bally, Burberry the British Fashion Council and Google for the BFC British Designers Mentoring Day and has recently before a member of the British Fashion Council.
Jim also successfully founded his own stationery range, James and Friends, which can be found on sale at a variety of retailers, including Waterstones, ASOS, Scribbler and Paperducks. When he is not busy with all of the above, he can be found writing articles for GQ as a contributing editor or presenting on his Radio One show.
With a combined social media outreach of over 5 million people, Jim’s perspective on everything from fashion, travel, and tech carries its own respective weight; positioning Jim as a forerunner in a new breed of taste, outreach and influence.

Melissa Bailey

Melissa Bailey has worked with some of our major Communications Clients worldwide for the last 10 years in various advisory and business development roles. She is currently the Sales Director for Communications Industries in IBM UK.

She was the first IBMer to make the Management Today 35 under 35 list and has 2 Patents in the area of time critically for Business Continuity and High Availability. As well as Sales and Business Leadership she spent the first half of her career working as a technical specialist and IT architect. She has worked with global clients and lived on 3 continents including working with IBM Research on the early Cognitive projects with Watson technologies.

Melissa is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, avid photographer and mother of 2 girls.

Troels Oerting

Troels joined Barclays as Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on 1st February 2015. Reporting to Group Chief Operations and Technology Officer, Troels is a member of Operations & Technology Executive Committee. Before joining Barclays Troels held the position as Director of the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3), an EU wide centre located in Europol’s HQ with the task to assist Law Enforcement Agencies in protecting 500.000.000 citizens in the 28 EU member states from cybercrime or loss of Privacy.

Dr. Steve Peters

Steve Peters is a Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in the functioning of the human mind. He currently works across a range of areas including corporate work, health, education, elite sport and with members of the public. In all areas he helps people to understand how their mind works and to gain insight into their own unique mind and situation. By skill acquisition he helps an individual or team to get the best out of them self and others around them.
Dr. Steve Peters is part of the Senior Management Team at Sky and he is involved with both riders and staff. Steve will be going to his fourth Olympics (Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012 and now Rio 2016) with the Great Britain Taekwondo Team.

Limor Kessem

Limor Kessem is one of the top cyber intelligence experts at IBM Security. She is a seasoned security advocate, public speaker, and a regular blogger on the cutting-edge IBM Security Intelligence blog. Limor comes to IBM from organizations like RSA Security, where she spent 5 years as part of the RSA research labs and drove the FraudAction blog on RSA's Speaking of Security. She also served as the Marketing Director of Big Data analytics startup ThetaRay, where she created the company's cybersecurity thought leadership.

Limor is considered an authority on emerging cybercrime threats. With her unique position at the intersection of multiple research teams at IBM, and her fingers on the pulse of current day threats, she covers the full spectrum of trends affecting consumers, corporations, and the industry as a whole. On the social side, Limor tweets security items as and is an avid Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter.

Martin Borrett

Martin Borrett is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and CTO IBM Security Europe. He advises at the most senior level on policy, business, technical and architectural issues associated with security. Martin leads IBM's Security Blueprint work and is co-author of the IBM Redbooks "Introducing the IBM Security Framework and IBM Security Blueprint to Realize Business-Driven Security" and "Understanding SOA Security". He is Chairman of the European IBM Security Board of Advisors, member of the Royal Society's Cybersecurity Research Steering Group, he represents IBM at GFCE and is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and member of the IET. Martin has a passion for sailing and has represented Great Britain; he is also a keen tennis player.

Paul Midian

Paul is an accomplished information and cyber security practitioner with over 20 years experience. He is a founding board member of CREST and former chair. He retains a non-executive position on the board.

Paul is Chief Information Security Officer for Dixons Carphone plc and in his previous role was a director in the Cyber Security practice at PwC, leading large scale information and cyber security improvement and transformation programmes. Prior to this, Paul was a director at Information Risk Management Plc where during his tenure the company won the Secure Computing award for 'Information Security Consultancy of the Year'. He was worked extensively in consulting and was a penetration tester for many years.

Jez Bassinder

Jez has always loved new ideas and is passionate about how technology can help people and organisations enable better business performance through closer engagement with their consumers, customers and employees. He works predominantly with clients within the FMCG industry, with Unilever for over six years, in areas as diverse as analytics, cognitive computing, sustainability, technology and people transformation. He love imagining the future with clients and helping them get there.

Mark Earls

Mark is a best-selling writer, speaker and consultant whose award-winning work applies contemporary behavioral and cognitive science to the day-to-day business of business. In particular, his recent work highlights our social side (what goes on between us, rather than between our ears). Another strand of his work is rethinking brands and branding for the 21st Century and how to make the most of what youve got without getting lost in abstract discussions. Part of the reason for Mark’s popularity is that his work always provides practical tools for making new ideas useful.

His books include Welcome to the Creative Age, HERD, I’ll Have What She’s Having (with Professors Alex Bentley and Mike O’Brien) and CopyCopyCopy (2015). He has written for many magazines, journals and papers and appeared on BBC R4, BBC Radio London , BBC1 & Sky TV but his favourite piece was double page spread in The Sun about the London Riots (“Come and have a go if you think you’re HERD enough”).

Mark is in much demand as a speaker and advisor for senior business audiences around the world. He has worked with all kinds of organisations as diverse as Channel 4 PLC, Everest Windows, Bacardi Martini, Royal Mail, Barts Hospital and Experian. He’s spoken, in locations as diverse as Shanghai, New York, Atlanta, Stockholm, Cannes, Amsterdam, Berlin and of course, London (his home town).

In addition, he is heavily involved in training the next generation of planners, strategists and marketers. He teaches on the IPA Excellence Diploma, the Marketing Society’s new Be Bold professional development programme and the 4As strategy conference.

Mark is a Fellow of The UK Marketing Society and the RSA, an Honorary Fellow of the IPA and an Ambassador of The School of Life. But mostly he would rather be fishing.

Justin Urquhart Stewart

Media Commentator and Founding Partner of Seven Investment Management

During his working life, Justin has worked on vineyards around Europe and also worked on Southampton Docks where he was even elected as a Trades Union shop steward. From studying law at Southampton University he trained as a barrister however, recognising his astonishing lack of talent went into international corporate and trade finance in Uganda and in South East Asia where he lived in Singapore.

Returning to the UK he was involved in the development of Big Bang in 1986 with BZW. From this he, with others, went on to found Broker Services which eventually went to become Barclays Stockbrokers where he was Corporate Development Director.

He is an enthusiast for greater financial education and the reform of investment structures for both investors and companies needing easier access for funding. As a result he has helped in the establishment of educational body Proshare, and also the development of the AIM market. Currently, he is keen on developing reforms for government privatisations as well as the development of regional investment structures for businesses of all sizes. He is a regular commentator and columnist on the media and is often called upon to demystify complicated financial jargon and stories.

He and his business partner of many years founded Seven Investment Management (7IM) in 2001 to provide some "radical common sense" to change "a lazy, lethargic and self-satisfied" investment industry which they saw as being primarily run for the benefit of itself rather its clients.

He is also an amateur archaeologist and in the summer of 2015 went to Rome with his old university to take part in an archaeological dig. Justin has an Irish wife and an Indonesian daughter, two cats, one motor cycle and a British racing green 1964 Morris Traveller.

In March 2015 Justin won The Spectator Money Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Nick Leeson

In 1995, Nick Leeson’s unchecked risk-taking caused the sensational collapse of Barings Bank. He was sentenced to a six-and-a-half-year jail sentence in a Singaporean jail, in conditions that defy belief. While in prison his wife left him and he was diagnosed with colon cancer. Against all the odds, he survived and recovered from the cancer that almost killed him, determined to begin a new life.

Few stories have dominated the world’s headlines quite like the collapse of Barings. Trusted with the finances of royalty and aristocracy for over two hundred years, Barings had apparently been brought down by the covert trading activities of just one man, leaving the bank with losses of around £860 million. The fate of that man, Nick Leeson forever dubbed the "Rogue Trader" is now well known.

Leeson's own story of his rise and fall is both candid and compelling. He took one of the greatest gambles of all time and found himself sucked into a spiral of terrifying loss that rocked the City to its foundations and threatened to destroy his life.

Nick's well delivered presentations are absolutely riveting and he speaks openly about his experiences in Singapore and how his life has changed since then.

Vineet Khurana

Vineet has over 15 years of IBM experience working across multiple countries and geographies.

As the CFO of IBM - UK & Ireland, supporting the strategy and transformation of the business is a key part of his role. In addition, Vineet is also responsible for ensuring we invest in our go to market and other capabilities to drive growth in new technologies, transform how we engage with our clients and continually evolve our business model to capture transformation led growth.

Jane Frankland

Jane Frankland is a cyber security entrepreneur, speaker and business consultant. She has 18-years worth of experience in information security and over the years has built and sold her own global penetration testing firm, Corsaire, held directorships and senior executive positions at several large PLCs, including the NCC Group, served as an Advisory Board Member at ClubCISO and Judge at the SC Magazine Awards for Europe. Jane believes passionately in entrepreneurship, empowerment and freedom. Through Cyber security Capital (CS^)she wants to see more professionals reach their potential and more businesses survive and thrive. As an ambassador for cyber security she is passionate about STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) and diversity in the workplace. She is currently writing a book on women in security, which is due for release in 2017.

Dee Khaira

Dee Khaira has recently been appointed CISO of British land, where she is responsible for establishing the Information Security strategy, in line with the British Land vision of creating secure places that people prefer. 

Dee is an accomplished certified (CISSP, CISM) Information Security Professional, with over 9 years of diverse information and cyber security risk experience. Her approach is both:

• diligent and pragmatic in establishing an information security programme, taking into consideration the information and cyber security risk profiles, business appetite and constraints;
• people-centric and energetic in bringing the information Security programme to life across the business by inspiring cultural change and awareness.  

Prior to joining British Land, she served as Group Head of Information Security for Halfords, where she led the strategic development and tactical delivery of the Information Security programme across the matrix of the business. In addition, she has served as a Senior Cyber Security Advisor with Dell Secureworks; a Security Solution Architect and Information Security Manager, throughout her time with IBM. 

Doug Clark

Doug Clark (@cloudstuff) leads IBM Cloud Video for IBM across EMEA – he’s on a mission to help clients unlock the full power of Video: irrespective whether Video IS your business or Video SUPPORTS your business. He can guide you to seize your full business growth potential and uncompromised agility using the Cloud.
Applying technology to drive strong double digit business growth year on year, Doug has been guiding Clients internationally for over 15 years and recently led IBM Cloud in UK & Ireland for 6 years since inception. Doug’s experience and current mission spans all clients; all sizes; all sectors especially Telecoms, Media and Entertainment.
Prior to intrapreneurial roles IBM and PwC, Doug held Director level positions in Marketing, Sales, Distribution and Process Improvement in 2 Blue Chip Industries, so bring a unique user based experience that underpins his passion for Video and his eminence as a Cloud thought leader – Doug was awarded Cloud Personality of the Year in the 2016 UK Cloud Industry Awards at Cloud World Forum.

Steve France

Steve is the business development director for media in The Weather Company across EMEA. His remit is to bring the hugely successful US business into the region and focuses exclusively on media and entertainment industries. This includes a product portfolio of weather data services and graphical visualisation tools for broadcast and connected devices aimed at enabling broadcasters to remain an essential part of their viewers' lives; an increasing challenge with so many alternatives competing for screen time. The ability to accurately predict weather allows companies to plan rather than simply react to the emerging conditions, which greatly widens the application of weather data.

Steve has a 30 year history in technology and media companies with roles in engineering, product development, marketing and sales. His work with broadcast media started at the BBC in 2000 and has delivered projects across the corporation in diverse areas from Audience services to News and Weather. A keen interest in linking business objectives with technology for media has underpinned a consulting career of advising, building business cases and implementation to achieve business goals. He started and ran an independent business for 9 years to present this rounded approach to the industry.

Steve is a cyclist, avid moviegoer and the father of two children. He also has a personal weather station in the garden.

Nick Coleman

Nick Coleman is Global Head, Cyber Security Intelligence at IBM. Previously he was The National Reviewer of Security for the UK Government. He Authored the ‘Coleman Report’ published by the Cabinet Office. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). He is an Honorary Professor at Lancaster University's GCHQ Accredited Centre of Teaching and Research Excellence. He serves on the Advisory Board of the European Security Agency (ENISA). He sits on the Expert Advisory Panel for the UK Government project on Cyber Regulation and Incentives. He holds an MBA with Distinction from Manchester Business School. He is an internationally recognised speaker and thought leader.

Dr. Adrian Davis

Adrian Davis heads the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) team for (ISC)2, the global, not-for-profit leader in educating and certifying information security professionals throughout their careers. His responsibilities include developing and implementing a strategy for the EMEA region, working with the EMEA Advisory Board and supporting the (ISC)2 global vision and mission. Before joining (ISC)2, Adrian worked for the Information Security Forum, where he led the Leadership and Management group within the Global Team. He was responsible for the delivery of practical business solutions within a commercial setting to the ISF’s global, blue-chip, Membership. Adrian regularly presents at, and chairs, conferences and contributes articles for the press. He also contributed to the development of ISO/IEC 27014: Governance of information security and currently acts as a co-editor for ISO/IEC 27036 Information Security in Supplier Relationships, Part 4: Guidelines for security of Cloud services.

Mieke Kooij

Mieke Kooij has served a Security Director at Trainline since September 2014. With more than 15 years of diverse security experience, Mieke began her career in Canada and has lived and worked internationally for many years. She has worked for British Airways, TUI Travel and Marks and Spencer. Her clear focus is winning hearts and minds, and building security in from the ground up. Mieke is driven by privacy and the protection of customer data, and given the breadth of Trainline customer base, they’ve proven themselves a great match.

Carmina Lees

Carmina Lees is Vice President of IBM’s Security Business in the UK and Ireland and part of the fastest-growing enterprise security company in the world.
In her leadership role, Carmina continues to help clients throughout the UK and Ireland develop a security strategy, adopt and utilise the best technologies to meet their specific security needs. She is responsible for leading the IBM Security team across Sales, Delivery and Consulting across Software and Services, which help protect and enable enterprises with intelligent, integrated security solutions and expertise. Having formed an integrated business unit, bringing services and solutions together in 2014, she continues to run an ever growing business of now 250 Security specialists.

Stephen Lepitak

Stephen Lepitak is Editor of The Drum – the UK’s biggest marketing website, with offices in Glasgow, London and New York. He joined as a reporter in 2006 from Newsquest and has gone on to hold the positions of news editor and online editor along the way.

Listed in the BIMA Hot 100 for 2015, Lepitak has hosted several panel sessions for The Drum’s many conferences including The Drum Live, Agency Acceleration Day, Do It Day, and Digital Convergence as well as at Advertising Week Europe, Creative Futures and IAB’s Mobile Engage.

In his career he has interviewed the likes of James Cameron, Sir Martin Sorrell, David Hasselhoff and Maurice Levy.

Christine T. Dee, PhD

Christine’s background includes 20 years telecommunications experience -customer care, billing, IT operations, and network engineering – as well as more than 10 years experience in the quickly evolving big data and analytics space. Additionally, she has a master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science and doctorate in Media Psychology. Her research offers a pioneering approach to the study of television audience engagement. This brings unique perspective to her work

At IBM, Christine works with lab and research teams in coordination with subject matter experts to build next-generation, first-of-a-kind solutions. Her current projects spotlight IBM’s advanced analytics capability and Watson.

Tom McDonald

Tom McDonald is currently a Director at the UK National Audit Office, where he is responsible for leading work on cyber security across the UK public sector, as well as value for money audits of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development. He has worked at the NAO since 2001 and has focused his career on the defence, health, international and national security sectors. He has degrees in modern languages, international relations and management from Bristol University and Ashridge Business School.

Steve Canepa

Nick Robinson

Nick was the BBC's Broadcaster and Journalist from 2005 until September 2015. He appeared regularly on the BBC News at 10 and Radio 4's Today programme. He anchored the BBC’s Election night special programme alongside David Dimbleby and Laura Kuenssberg. He joined the flagship Today programme in November 2015.

He writes an award-winning blog, presents a range of BBC TV and radio documentaries and discussion programmes including BBC1's "The Street that Cut Everything; BBC2's Newsnight and Your Money and How to Spend It; Radio 4's Today, Any Questions, Decision Time and The Prime Ministers
He is the author of "Live From Downing Street " published in October 2012 and his latest book Election Notebook came out in June 2015.
Nick has a won a string of awards including Royal Television Society "Specialist Journalist of the Year", House Magazine "Commentator of the Year', Political Studies Association "Political Journalist of the Year" and Editorial Intelligence's "Blogger of the Year".
He started out in broadcasting at Piccadilly Radio.

He worked his way up as a producer working on a variety of shows including Newsround and Crimewatch. He then became an assistant producer for On the Record, and in 1993 was promoted to Deputy Editor of Panorama.
Nick is a rare example of someone who switched from working behind the microphones and cameras to working in front of them.

He presented Weekend Breakfast and Late Night Live on Radio 5 Live and later became Chief Political Correspondent on BBC News Channel. Nick left the BBC in 2002 and joined ITV News as their Broadcaster and Journalist. In 2005 he returned to the BBC as Broadcaster and Journalist. He is the only person to have ever done the job for both ITV and the BBC.

He has also appeared as guest on other television programmes, including Children in Need, Have I got News for You, and Top Gear.

Born in Macclesfield, Cheshire in 1963, Nick attended Cheadle Hulme School, then University College, Oxford where he studied politics, philosophy and economics.
He currently lives in North London with his wife, three children and dog. He is a lifelong Manchester United fan who also enjoys sailing and theatre. He was diagnosed with a carcinoid tumour in Spring 2015 but has made a good recovery and is back at work.

Amanda Gosling

Amanda is a leader within the IBM iX global team, helping clients take advantage of the opportunities that digital provides for driving growth from customer engagement. She joined IBM from Ogilvy where she led the IBM marketing transformation.

Alison Clark

Alison’s background is data and digital integration, having spent 22 years working in direct and digital agencies. After leaving university she joined Midlands Electricity, and trained as a database administrator.

She joined Ogilvy and Mather in New York at the height of the digital boom, working on the IBM account, where she was part of the first integrated team established to deliver dynamic websites for IBM ebusiness.

Alison then spent time at Ogilvy Interactive, Omnicom agencies and joined Havas EHS as Managing Director in 2004, specialising in optimising data utilisation and value for Volvo, Aston Martin, JLR, Barclays, and Tesco, as well as leading the business development and marketing function. She moved to RAPP to lead business development globally in 2015, where she lead competitive bids for PSA, Mercedes and Nestle.

Caroline Taylor

Caroline Taylor is Vice President, Global Marketing and Communications for IBM Sales & Distribution, leading the teams who implement IBM’s marketing and communications strategy around the world; across the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Caroline joined IBM in 1997 and subsequently led marketing teams in Europe for IBM’s Software, Hardware and Services lines of business. In 2009 she was appointed as IBM’s UK CMO, becoming European CMO in 2014, a post she held until earlier this year. Chris Gibson

Chris Gibson spent over 12 years working in the CERT world at Citigroup and, for 10 years, was on the board of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST); 2 years as Chair. Together these have allowed him to work with colleagues from both inside one of the worlds largest global financial institutions with the complexities that brings and also with colleagues from the incident response community with members ranging from Microsoft and Oracle through to the national CERT’s of Azerbaijan and Indonesia.

At Citigroup he was responsible for the digital forensic program and strategy globally, including all operational aspects of investigations into Cybercrime in Citigroup’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. This included overseeing both the digital forensics and the investigation as well as reporting to senior management on on-going cases, trends and threats.

Within FIRST he implemented the Fellowship program. This was created to fund CERTs from UN designated “Least Developed Nations” (LDCs) allowing them to both join FIRST and attend conferences and training thereby starting to create the relationships that bring the most benefits to the incident response community.

He is a former member of the British Bankers’ Association (BBA) Cyber Advisory Panel.

Paul Campion

Paul leads IBM Global Financing in the UK and Ireland. IBM Global Financing is the largest IT financing house in the industry and helps IBM’s clients and partners to optimise the financial cases for their IT transformations.

Previously Paul has done a wide variety of technical, marketing, sales, sales and sales operational leadership roles for IBM. He has worked in Paris, New York and Zurich as well as the UK.

As a leader of IBM’s Travel and Transport industry business he was invited to join the board of the catapult as non-executive director and is involved in a variety of initiatives in the UK Transport industry.

Simon  Wheatcroft

JP Rangaswami is the Chief Data Officer of Deutsche Bank, as well as the Head of Strategy and Innovation for the Chief Operating Office. He joined Deutsche Bank in January 2015.

As Chief Data Officer, JP is responsible for increasing the quality of the Bank’s data and improving its governance and control, to a level where it will enhance competitive advantage. JP is an Adjunct Professor of Electronics & Computer Science at Southampton University. He is a popular keynote speaker, specialising in the future of work, disruptive technologies and innovation. His TED talk "Information is food" and his ‘’ blog are popular with enterprise technologists. David M. Brear

David M. Brear is the Co-Founder and CEO at 11:FS. David's has been immersed in the technology of financial services for as long as he’s been working and is consistently voted one of the most influential people in Banking, Insurance and Fintech by banks, his peers and a number of industry bodies.

Lisa Gilbert

Javier Burón

David A. Smith

Michelle Boockoff-Bajdek

Michelle Boockoff-Bajdek oversees global marketing for the Business Solutions division of The Weather Company, an IBM Business. A B2B marketing veteran with more than 20 years’ experience, Michelle has a proven track record of helping companies drive brand awareness, generate demand, and build stronger customer relationships.

In her current role, Michelle helps businesses understand the need for weather-driven solutions that enable them to make smarter business decisions, which lead to better business outcomes. She has held senior marketing positions at several marketing and high-tech companies, including Quaero, Harte-Hanks, GN Netcom/Jabra and Kronos.

Michelle holds a Masters degree from Simmons College and is an avid runner and cyclist. She lives with her husband, two daughters, and two rescue Akitas in New Hampshire, USA.

Alison Davis

Ali is a seasoned media, entertainment and telecommunications professional with over 20 years experience. Ali started her career at M&C Saatchi, representing the Agency at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising at 22. 

Subsequently, Ali joined ntl and led the development of the UK's first digital TV advertising proposition. Ali then took on responsibility for commercial development across ntl's mobile, online and TV platforms, which included driving ecommerce, digital advertising and search revenues. One of Ali's career highlights was the deal she struck with Google to provide search results across ntl's online and tv platforms, before any other partner in Europe.

With the merger of ntl:Telewest and; the consolidated entity re-branded to Virgin Media, where Ali led the integration of 3 of the UK's biggest websites and was responsible for the cultural transformation of the newly amalgamated interactive teams.

Before taking a career break, Ali was made the youngest female Director in Virgin Media, with P&L responsibility for Virgin's increasingly multi-screen digital entertainment offering. Ali managed the award winning Virgin Media Player and leveraged her relationships with major digital players like Facebook and Ebay to bring their applications onto the Tivo set top box.

Ali started with IBM in January of this year, and is focusing on bringing IBM's transformative technology to the media, telco and entertainment industry. Ali is a keen tennis player and a qualified Myers Briggs Practitioner, with 2 daughters.

Chris Lewis

Chris is a highly regarded and experienced Telecoms Industry Analyst covering the depth and breadth, demand and supply of the ICT sector on a global basis for 30 years. Peter is the Finance Director for the Specialist Computer Centres group, a €1.5bn Technology Services provider with European operations focused on the UK and France. SCC is part of the privately owned Rigby Group owned by Sir Peter Rigby which has interests in Airports, Aviation , Hotels and Property as well as private equity investments.

Peter leads the finance and legal teams at SCC with a focus on supporting commercial operations and financial systems development. With 16 years’ experience at SCC and in the group’s IT distribution businesses, his role involves working in an environment of constant change and evolution. Prior experience includes finance roles at Bridgestone and Barclays, having trained as a chartered accountant at KPMG in Birmingham.
