Humayun Bashir has worked in various capacities with IBM over the last 30 years. He started his career in sales and has held various positions in Marketing, Sales, Channel Operations and Direct Marketing, before being promoted as Country Marketing Executive in 1996.
Before taking over as country head in 1999, Humayun spent two years with IBM Middle East Operations based in Dubai where he was in charge of the Saudi, Gulf and Levant countries as Regional Manager Small and Medium Market.
Humayun holds an Engineering Degree and received training in business administration, marketing and communications at different IBM centers in Europe and the US.
He serves on the boards of Export Processing Zone, American Business Council (ABC) and Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI).
