Academic Initiative Program

The IBM Academic Initiative helps faculty and researchers at higher education institutions worldwide use and implement the latest technology into curriculum and research. The IBM Academic Initiative represents IBM's broad interest in graduating students who are aware of, excited about, and skilled in open standards and IBM products. Graduating students must become familiar with emerging technologies and understand how they apply and become integrated into the core of today's and tomorrow's businesses. The IBM Academic Initiative is a way for students and faculty to keep a finger on the pulse of emerging technologies; work with individuals who participate in industry standards organizations; and develop tools, content and resources that help educators with e-business on demand technologies.
