Speed serve system
One of the most visible solutions, the IBM courtside radar gun captures the speed of each serve, immediately transmitting it to the IBM scoring database and displaying the information courtside.
Match statistics
IBM statisticians record match information such as winners, challenges, serve percentages, breakpoints, unforced errors net approaches and lots more. These statistics are then sent in realtime to the IBM Scoring to form the Wimbledon Information System (WIS). WIS is used by players, coaches, broadcast commentators and journalists to provide a wealth of information, keeping everyone informed.

IBM servers
The IBM servers being used for wimbledon.com include the IBM x346, IBM p6 550 Express servers with advanced POWER6 and POWER7, Blade servers and a Storage Area Network solution.
IBM software
The generation, distribution, management and support of data from Wimbledon is handled by a range of sophisticated software platforms. This includes Tivoli Monitoring v6.1, Tivoli Enterprise Console, Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus and Tivoli Composite Application Manager.
