Eyal Zimran
Senior Director of Marketing and Alliances IBM XIV Storage

Eyal Zimran is a Senior Director of Marketing and Alliances at IBM XIV Storage. Eyal’s 25 years of storage experience dates back to Digital Equipment Corporation, Massachusetts. Subsequently he worked directly for Moshe Yanai when started the development of EMC Open Symmetrix systems. Eyal initiated and managed Virtual Tape development (now Diligent), and headed EMC NAS Engineering and Business Development in EMEA.

Following the acquisition of XIV by IBM, in January 2008, Eyal has joined IBM again working with Moshe (who has himself been appointed an IBM Fellow) with responsibilities for technical marketing, alliances, and product development of IBM XIV Storage.

Eyal holds B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel; and M.S in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA. He is a holder of several storage patents.
