Michel Martens, 38 year old, graduated in 1994 as Handelsingenieur at the Free University of Brussels (VUB).
After some experience within the banking industry, he joined Febiac in 1996 as an advisor at the intelligence department of FEBIAC, the Belgian Automotive- and Bicycle Federation. He is closely looking at the Belgian and European transport legislation and is developing and promoting the position of the sector within different dossiers about mobility. He also published several FEBIAC-dossiers.
Since 1 July 2006, he has been appointed as Director Intelligence Services and is leading a team of 8 people, looking at safeguarding the business of the automotive industry towards Belgian and European decision makers regarding mobility, environment, safety and fiscality.
