“The winners of IBM Ireland’s Business Partner Awards set the standard for business excellence, collaboration, a commitment to deep skills and a focus on innovation that matters for our clients”, said William Burns, IBM's newly appointed Channel Manager at the 2008 awards event in the Radisson Hotel, Stillorgan.

“Small and medium businesses are increasingly looking to technology to gain a competitive edge. Working with our Business Partner network in Ireland, IBM is helping Irish businesses automate, simplify and speed product-to-market cycles which enable them to compete globally.

IBM Business Partner Award winners have solved real business issues for our Irish clients while delivering consistently high customer satisfaction”.

Triangle Computer Services scooped the top prize of Business Partner of the Year, and also netted the Services Partner of the Year award. Triangle achieved terrific growth over the last few years by bringing new propositions to existing Irish clients as well as supporting key areas of Virtualisation, Mobility Solutions and Retail Store Solutions.

The winner of the Mid Market Partner of the Year award went to Qualcom for their proactive investment in IBM N-Series storage technology and System X Servers.

Unitech Systems were awarded the IBM Systems Group Partner of the Year for 2007 -a company who has excelled by delivering innovative infrastructure solutions across a range of IBM Server, Storage, Software and Services offerings in industries as diverse as Education, Finance, Insurance and Pharmaceuticals.

Individuals were also recognised for their excellence: Cathal Clarke, Sharptext Limited won an award for his outstanding technical skills and support of the reseller community; while Alex Van Driessche, from Morse Ireland was named as ‘Software Top Contributor of the Year, 2008’.
