Chambers Ireland President's Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility:

The awards were established to recognise the work being carried out by small, medium and large Irish and multinational companies to improve the lives of their employees and to enhance the civic environment in which they operate.

According to Chambers Ireland President David Pierce, “These awards help to recognise the great work being carried out by companies in Ireland in improving the lives of their employees, and enhancing the civic environment in which they operate. This unique competition offers the business community a chance to promote their efforts in CSR, gain recognition for best practice and contribute to the embedment of CSR in Ireland’s business culture,” he said.

October 2009: IBM, for the second year running, has won the Best Marketplace Project (Multinational Corporation) at the 2009 Chambers Ireland President's Awards for Corporate Responsibility. Commendations were awarded for IBM's Reading Companion programme in the 'Good Neighbour' (Multinational) and the Corporate Service Corps (International).

September 2008 :IBM in Ireland has scooped two accolades at the Chambers Ireland Presidents Awards. IBM received the awards in the supply chain category for 'Best Marketplace (Supplier) Programme by a Multinational Corporation' for it's ‘Air-Filled Void Filler Process’ and its innovation in reducing the level of cost to the consumer, the environment and the company and also won the 'Most Innovative CSR Project'

2008 - The gradireland AHEAD award
This award is presented to companies employing graduates with disabilities from the *AHEAD WAM internship programme. The winner of the gradireland AHEAD award for 2008 was IBM Ireland.

2007 - Chambers Ireland President's Awards commendations
September 2007 - IBM in Ireland, received commendations in the Chambers Ireland Presidents Award for CSR, in the "Best Environmental Project for a large Multinational Company" and the "Best Community Project for a large Multinational Company".

2006 - "Outstanding Achievement in Corporate Responsibility" - (Overall winner)
November 2006 - According to the judging panel, IBM’s CSR programme has seen the company developing and deploying initiatives in Ireland that aim to impact positively on all of its stake holders. The judging panel was particularly impressed with IBM’s commitment to education and its efforts to create a more open and hospitable environment for its culturally diverse workforce.

2006 - Blanchardstown Chamber of Commerce "Business in the Community - Education Award"
November 2006 - IBM was recognised for their ongoing work in support of *BAPTEC where IBM employees have volunteered, providing invaluable IT, networking, mentoring and business support. In particular, by providing a director on the Board of BAPTEC since it was started in 1999.

2005 - "Best Environmental Project for a large multinational company"
November 2005 - IBM Environmental Affairs in Ireland, won the Chambers Ireland Presidents Award for Corporate Social Responsibility - "Best Environmental Project" in the Multinational Corporation category.

2004 - "Best Approach to CSR by a Multinational" (Overall winner)
November 2004 - At the first ever Chambers Ireland President's Awards 2004 IBM was awarded the overall award of "Best Approach to CSR by a Multinational".

2003 - Guinness Living Dublin Award (Overall winner)
December 2003 - IBM beat strong competition to win the overall prize of the 2003 Guinness Living Dublin Awards. The awards ceremony rewarded businesses, individuals and groups who work to make Dublin a better place to live, work or visit. IBM also came first in the Business in the Community category.

Repak Awards:

The Repak awards recognise the efforts and ingenuity of its members, local authorities and collectors in the area of packaging prevention, reuse and recycling.

2003 - Repak awards finalists in waste management best practice and member of the year.
The IBM Technology campus was awarded two accolades from Repak in 2003 being finalists in two categories; waste management best practice and Repak member of the year.

2002 - Repak awards for Excellence in Reporting & Waste Management Best Practice Awards in 2002 include 2 from Repak, for excellence in packaging data reporting (Q3) and Waste Management Best Practice (Q4)
