Ashwin Rofina CEMAAS PL, Competitive & NE - IOT Project CASTAWAY Leader IBM Software Group - Central & Eastern European, Middle-East, Africa, Austria & Switzerland
Ashwin is responsible for the CEMAAS Competitive business, SWAT and Project Liberate. He is also responsible for Northeast European Investments and Growth Initiatives in the IBM Software Group.
Ashwin has held various positions within IBM and the IT Industry. He started work in 1996 as a Pan European Helpline Agent for IBM Greenock, supporting IBM Hardware, Microsoft and OS/2 Warp. During this period he discovered Lotus Notes and began building his knowledge of the product.
At a series of companies thereafter Ashwin worked his way through various roles including project co-coordinator, systems analyst, email administrator, team-leader, and eventually became Solutions Project Manager on Domino.
In 2000 Ashwin rejoined IBM Lotus as a Technology Advocate in the UK Technical Sales group focusing on IBM Lotus Business Partners and their offerings. He organized and led Technology Briefings through Europe and was involved in setting up an e-Business Centre for Lotus Customers and Partners. He was instrumental in creating and delivering Lotus solutions to emerging markets. Then Ashwin worked as Lotus, Workplace and WebSphere Portal Senior IT Specialist in the Financial Services Sector for several years.
Ashwin holds a Masters of Science (Engineering) degree in Integrated Management Systems at The University of Birmingham and lives in Cheshire, UK.
Outside of IBM Ashwin likes to travel, cycle, row, ski, read and undertake DIY. He speaks five languages and believes in continuous personal development. He has a 3rd Dan in Tae Kwon Do and is currently reading part-time for his MRes/PhD.

Uffe Sorensen Lotus Messaging & Collaboration Director
IBM Software Group - Northeast Europe, Middle-East & Central/South Africa
Uffe is responsible for the Lotus Messaging & Collaboration business unit in Northeast Europe, Middle-East and Central/South Africa. Uffe has held various management positions in the IBM Software Group since it's inception, and joined the Lotus organization in 1996 after IBM's acquisition of Lotus Development Corporation. Uffe served as the Chief Technology Officer for Lotus software in the European (EMEA) organization and, subsequently, Uffe lead the Technical Sales organization for the Workplace, Portal and Collaboration division within the region. Uffe now leads the Messaging & Collaboration business and IBM's Open Source and Linux activities for Software Group.
Uffe's product responsibilities cover Lotus Notes & Domino for e-mail, calendaring and collaborative applications, Lotus Sametime for all aspects of real-time unified communication & collaboration, Lotus Quickr and a strong interest in Lotus Connections as enterprise social software for leveraging content and people.
Uffe joined IBM in 1970 and have worked in various technical and managerial positions in both development, marketing and sales - including authoring and publishing several SW product offerings for IBM. Uffe maintains a strong interest in software for people and all aspects of collaboration - now focused on business adoption of emerging Web 2.0 social software capabilities. Uffe is a 1976 graduate from the Danish Technical University as Master of Science in High Power Electrical Engineering. Currently, Uffe lives in Copenhagen with Jannie (his wife) and Dessiré & Mario (their cats).

Manfred Stadler Lotus Portal & Solutions Sales Manager
IBM Software Group - Central & Eastern Europa, Middle-East, Africa, Austria & Switzerland
Manfred is responsible for the Lotus Portal & Solutions Software business unit in CEMAAS (Central & Eastern Europa, Middle-East, Africa, Austria & Switzerland). He held various management positions in IBM Software Group.
Joining IBM in 1990 he started working as a Sales Consultant for Networking and Communication solutions in Austria. After that he worked with customers from the Industrial, Manufacturing and Process Industry from Austria as a Sales Account Manager for several years. Then he had Sales & Management responsibilty for TIVOLI (IBM's Networking- & Systemsmanagement Solution). Manfred then took over an international European role, where he consulted customers on IBM's Portal Solution in SAP environments.
Manfred's current responsibility is managing the Portal & Solution business to help customers improve the process efficiency of peoples daily work. Also IBM's social Networking solution and Web 2.0 initiatives is within his responsibility for CEMAAS, which helps companies to benefit of the new Internet technologies and make people more productive.
Manfred graduated 1989 from the Vienna's technical University as an engineer for Mechanical Engineering. He lives near Vienna and loves to ride his Yamaha 1100 Cruiser around that area. Manfred is married with Edith who runs a Kindergarden and has 3 children (17, 15 & 6 years old).
