The GPC within ISSC is a cross-continental and international services organization. IBM's procurement administration used to be processed in 300 different IBM locations in the world, now we do it in only three cities: Sanghai, Bangalore and Budapest and these procurement-support services are available not only for IBM operations but for customers as well. Among tasks are order-processing, supplier-relationship, invoice follow-up, business controls and measurement reporting. In IBM GPC you can find the following major functions:

• PO processing: PO creation, in line with the country (legislation) and commodity (strategy) specifics based on specifications given by strategic sourcing
• Vendor setup: Maintenance of the supplier base at the request of sourcing community
• Invoice issue resolution: close cooperation with Accounts Payable, suppliers, requesters and sourcing
