Technical Solution Specialist
You will develop proof of concepts and design, develop, build, test and implement systems to solve our clients' business and IT problems. As a Technical Solution Specialist, you will be a hands-on professional and you will have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of our products, offerings and services.
You will provide specific and comprehensive operational support to maximise the functionality and effectiveness of the business. Understanding key business priorities, process and organisational implications, you will plan, track, co-ordinate and implement process change, business plans, and financial reporting. You will develop skills in spreadsheet, word processing and presentation systems, which gives an ideal spring board to progress to project management, service delivery, and business operations career paths.
Cyber Security Specialist
You will be dealing with end-to-end security and a varied portfolio of offerings to deliver a holistic approach to security. You will develop proof of concepts and design, develop, build, test and implement Security solutions to mitigate our clients' security risks. As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be both a hands-on professional and will also develop wider business skills to help you understand business Security risks along with the process and organisational implications of deploying Security solutions.

How we support you
Your training and development
The IBM Apprenticeship scheme lasts for 3 years. We’ll give you the opportunity to continue your learning to achieve the Advanced Apprenticeship for IT Professionals qualification in the first 18 months, leading up to Higher Apprenticeship qualifications and more. Our technical apprentices will achieve qualifications consisting of: OCR Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence and in ICT Systems & Principles followed by a Level 4 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT & Telecoms Professionals and in Computing & Systems Development. For our business apprentices, you will also achieve OCR Level 3 & 4 Diplomas, but in Business & Administration, and a Certificate in Principles of Business & Administration.
Your training starts with a two week induction which will help you understand how IBM works and how we operate. Don’t worry, you’ll be in good company, taking part in valuable team building exercises with other apprentices - so this is a great chance to get to know each other!
After that, it’s all about 2 areas:
What we look for
To be eligible to apply, you must have at least 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above including Maths and English and either have obtained or be predicted at least 160 UCAS points from A-levels or equivalent. You must also be authorised to work in the UK.
