Member-Elected Directors - Results
During October and November 2005, employees and retired members of the pension plans voted to elect four Member Elected Directors to the IBM UK Pensions Trust Board.
The ballot was run independently by Electoral Reform Services on behalf of the Pension Fund Trustee.
I am pleased to confirm that the following four candidates, two employees and two retired members (listed in alphabetical order) have been elected and will take their place on the Trustee Board in May 2006.
Mike Butcher - Retiree
Mike started work in IBM Nottingham in 1973 after completing an engineering degree at Cambridge University . He has had a number of positions within IBM including sales, services and management. His later career in the Software Group included management roles in product and marketing in the UK, La Gaude and Paris. Mike retired in January 2003.
Lucy Kannengieser - Employee
Lucy has worked in the financial sector for most of her career, starting at Fidelity Investments. She joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1997 and joined IBM in October 2002. Lucy has an MBA from the Columbia Business School and is currently a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services Sector.
David Mitchell - Retiree
David joined IBM as an instructor in 1968 and spent most of the next 15 years in Customer Education. In 1983 David joined the PC Organization working on various advanced development projects in Hursley as well as Cambridge , Massachusetts . His last five years were spent as a Java specialist. David retired in January 2000 and has been a Member Elected Trustee Director of the Pensions Trust Board since 2003.
Gavin Wilson - Employee
Gavin joined IBM permanently in 1980 after graduating with a degree in mathematics at Oxford University . He has held a number of different posts within IBM including systems engineer, instructor in SE education, product manager and is currently a market analyst. Gavin also has an MBA from the London Business School and has been a Member Elected Director of the IBM Pensions Trust Board since 2003.
