This page contains information for schools attending, or wishing to
attend the Blue Fusion event in 2008.
The event is open to all schools in the Hampshire area. Invitations will be sent out
closer to the event to those schools that have previously attended the event,
or expressed an interest.
If your school has not previously expressed an interest in the event, or you
have any queries then please contact us.
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. So please reply
promptly when you receive the invitation, especially if you have a preference
on which day your school can attend the event.
Due to the popularity of the event we are only able to allow one team of
six students per school to enter the event.
The activities are designed for teams of six GCSE (Year 10/11) age students.
It is preferable, in the interests of fairness and in order to reach as many
young people as possible, that the team members have not previously attended
a Blue Fusion event.
The team must be accompanied by a minimum of one teacher. If more than one teacher
wishes to attend the event, then please let us know in advance so that we can
ensure that enough facilities are available.
Permission forms will be sent to your school after replying to the invitation.
These must be signed by the parent or guardian of each team member and
returned to the Blue Fusion organising team in advance of the event.
A provisional timetable will be sent to your school closer to the event.
This will also be published in this area of the Web site for reference.
Provisionally we expect that registration for the event to be at 9:30am,
and that the event will run until 5:00pm.
However, we will confirm this schedule in future communications with
attending schools closer to the event.
The 2008 event will be held at IBM Hursley.

Please leave ample travelling time to reach IBM Hursley for the registration
time, as arriving later may cause the students to miss some of the activities.
