• What it involves

  The IBM Finance organisation is an integral part of the IBM Corporation. It comprises over 10,000 employees worldwide, covering every geography and business unit within IBM. Working in Finance will provide you with a great opportunity to gain insight into IBM's business.

  As a Management Accountant within our Finance organisation you will have a wide range of responsibilities including preparing reports, budgets and financial statements; financial administration and internal audits; investment analysis; funds management; financial planning and forecasting; accounting; business analysis; management of financial systems/policies; working with bid teams for major projects and other related activities.

• What we look for

  You need to be studying a highly numerate degree - ideally finance related, mathematics, science or economics. Excellent analytical and numerical abilities are crucial to be considered for these roles and you should possess the ability to use problem solving techniques in your day to day tasks. You need to have great communication skills – both orally and written and you should be adaptable, driven and a good team player. You must be an effective planner & organiser with creative ideas to increase efficiency and productivity, with the ability to lead and motivate others. You should also be driven towards pursuing a professional accountancy qualification as all our graduates in management accountancy are sponsored to complete their CIMA or ACCA professional accountancy examinations.

• Training

  You will begin your IBM career with our new hire induction program. For 2 weeks of your induction, you will participate in a simulated project focussing on client facing and project management skills.

  You will be assigned a Professional Development Manager (PDM) in Foundation. You will put together an individually tailored training programme with your PDM which will include specific training that your role requires, in addition to any personal development training that you may need including Presenting with Confidence, Influencing Skills for Business etc. In addition, we will sponsor you to complete your CIMA or ACCA professional accountancy examinations.
