World class training

Boats

We are really proud of our graduate development program. We actively encourage personal development and invest a huge amount in your training and development.

You’ll start your IBM career with an induction course that will help you understand more about IBM and how we operate. You will join with a number of other graduates at the same time, so you will take part in valuable team building exercises. IBM is a huge company, there is no denying that, but you will join at the same time as 10 – 20 other new graduate hires giving you an instant network of friends.

Following your induction, your development will focus on 2 key areas – business critical and personal skills. Business critical training will be essential for you to be able to do your job. Personal skills training is not job dependant, it is what you feel will help you with your career development and is controlled entirely by you. There are literally hundreds of courses available and it will be up to you to find the ones that are most appropriate and appealing to you.

Ways to learn
Learning at IBM is not all about sitting in a classroom. We deliver training through e-learning, coaching, podcasts and webcasts, as well as through the traditional classroom method.

The Learning@IBM website helps you create a dynamic learning plan and find relevant training courses based on your job role. You can add new activities and track your progress against the courses you need to attend all in one place.
