You may be concerned that because IBM is such a vast organisation that you will get ‘lost’ when you first join. This is not the case at all. We currently have around 500 students and graduates working in the UK and it’s this community that sets us apart from other companies.

From finding out where to get lunch, to getting contacts to help with a project you are working on, there is always someone around that is willing to help you. The community group brings people together from all over the company, regardless of role and location. They host national events such as the IBM five-a-side football, netball tournaments and the national Corporate Games.

You may find yourself working away from home at a client site, so we have also established smaller graduate community groups at locations around the UK, so you can be sure that there will be other graduates for you to hook up with.

The graduate community is also there for graduates who have an interest in helping people outside of IBM through our Giveback programme. They arrange activities that help the community local to an IBM site, such as fundraising events, or helping out in schools and towns.

Once a year our entire graduate population get together at a two day event organised by our current graduates. The event covers a varied agenda of business & technology presentations, motivational speaches and team building activitites. Everyone has the chance to network with our most senior business leaders, and the event highlight is a black tie gala dinner and full evening of entertainment.
