Complex user interfaces (UI) don’t have to be confusing. That’s what the Modelling Users for a Lighter Environment (MULE) team proved! Eclipse based products offer rich features, providing users with numerous functions. The downside is that this can overwhelm users, forcing them to go through a steep learning curve, reducing efficiency and, potentially, losing money.

The MULE team tackled this by customising and filtering the UI of IBM’s Eclipse based tooling according to each individual’s needs, role, goals and tasks. This project massively simplifies and enhances the users’ experience, delivering a personalised interface without compromising products’ capabilities.
