INCLUDE everyone. EXCLUDE no one.
Learn about our networks
One of the main ways we ensure we’re providing for the needs of all our employees is through our four Diversity Networking Groups (DNGs).
These Networking groups come together voluntarily to provide perspectives on key business initiatives and to ensure IBM’s working environment, products and policies are inclusive and welcoming. Externally, they participate in a range of out-reach programmes with charities and local communities, meaning IBMers are actively involved in raising the bar nationwide for inclusiveness and diversity. People with Disabilities’ DNG
The PwD DNG is focused towards enabling employees the opportunity to meet and network through such initiatives as mentoring schemes, planning and implementing social, cultural and education events as well as hosting a large all day event for members once a year.
-
Ethnicity DNG (EDNG)
Aimed at self-improvement, give-back to ethnic communities and networking, the EDNG strives to ensure that IBM is a workplace where every employee can feel that their cultural tradition, ancestry, national origin, history or religion is valued by – and adds value to – the organisation.
-
Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgenders’ DNG (GLBT)
The GLBT DNG is involved in providing advice on IBM’s equal benefits for same-sex couples organising leadership conferences and training initiatives. The group is also involved in community outreach, including Stonewall’s ”Education For All” Campaign, eliminating homophobic bullying in schools across the UK.
-
Women’s DNG (Women in Blue)
Women in Blue is a forum for female colleagues to meet, network and share experiences with like minded people, listen to inspirational speakers, receive career advice and training and serve as a place to ask questions, offer suggestions and encouragement.
