Society’s energy- and climate-related issues are at the top of our strategic agenda. At IBM, we recognize that information technology plays an extremely important role in solving these global issues. We’re striving to make our existing products and processes more efficient and develop new innovations to ultimately lessen the impact on the environment.

We have been committed to protecting the environment for more than three decades, establishing our first corporate policy in 1971. These policies have been a cornerstone of IBM’s energy management and climate protection programs and as such we regularly feature in the top’ green’ organisations, globally as well as in the UK. Our employees are encouraged to contribute their green ideas at meetings and through internal websites and forums, many of which are then developed throughout the company.
