How to apply
Students entering their final year of university studies are encouraged to apply for the IBM internship program.
In order to give your application the best possible chance of success, we recommend the following steps to submit your resume and cover letter:
Step 1:
- Familiarize yourself with the company and its products and services .
- Understand the structure of the company, and where you fit in it so that you can demonstrate where you want to be and how you want to grow in the IT industry.
- Read our information regarding the areas in which we are recruiting in the Students programs.
- Choose a position that fits your skills, and be specific about your desire to be in that particular position or department. Focus all of your materials on experiences that make you qualified for that position.

- If your knowledge and experience match our criteria for a given position, you will be contacted by an HR specialist to arrange an interview with the hiring manager in a given area. The interview process may include multiple meetings with managers over the course of a few weeks.
- If selected for an interview, you will be contacted to discuss the results of your candidacy
The 2007-2008 Internship program has already begun, and we are not recruiting at this time. To apply for the 2008-2009 internship program, please review the steps below, and submit your application after April 1, 2008. Applications received before this date will not be reviewed
