From a 'calculator' to a customer-oriented services provider: the story of Securex

Securex is a Social & People Management company with a history of over one hundred years. It has evolved to a full-service company with services ranging from providing innovative and reliable solutions to advising clients on social insurance, payroll issues, employment law, human resource issues, health & safety solutions, competence management, insurance and employment benefits.

With over 31 offices in Belgium, France and Luxembourg, Securex serves over 75,000 companies, 100,000 self-employed individuals and 60 private persons.

Although Securex' financial results were still in line with expectations, its corporate scorecard signaled issues regarding future growth perspectives, a leading indicator for future company health. Therefore, Securex needed to evolve from an inward-looking, technically-driven organization to a customer-oriented company and culture.

IBM Global Business Services helped Securex to embark upon a complete business transformation, including the development of a new business model and a new organizational design. Our consultants helped Securex build the awareness for change, craft its new vision and strategy, and set up the whole change program. They also acted as a sounding board and coach to Securex's senior management team, advising them both on strategic issues and practical topics.
