History

In 1998 the Székesfehérvár site started its operation with services work transferred from Germany, with only 20 people working on IBM Global Account 1st. level operation. One year later - with another 19 employees - already a complete operation was provided with last level support from Germany.

In year 2001, already 150 employees were employed and new services have been implemented for example commercial operation in the fields of mainframe, SAP, SMC and e-business and TE activity. The undertaking moved into a new building in the same year, into Videoton ipari park 35. No. building, which one provides a home to the firm currently. In 2002 IBM Global Services Kft. offshore company for Service Delivery was founded and a few years later the establishment of IBM Europe's Integrated Deliver Center was again a great milestone in the history of IBM in Hungary. A minimal staff number increase happened in 2004, new projects appeared, according to the broadening tasks, a service with a full responsibility was supplied.

In 2005 the IDC in Székesfehérvár became one of the Integrated Delivery Centres that IBM established around the world. With this step we extended the capacity to support the required growth too in the meantime. The formation of EMEA Integrated Deliver Center Székesfehérvár was a huge milestone in IBM'S Hungarian history in 2005 as well. The IBM Global Services Kft in Székesfehérvár and the IBM Data Storage Systems Kft. in Vác united in this year likewise, and then came into existence the IBM Data Storage Systems Information Technology Kft. dispose of two parks, headquartered in Vác. At the end of 2006 the IDC SFV had 650 employees already. Additional redeployments happened in the works, and the forming of the second wing began, which was opened ceremoniously in March 2007. Now the IBM Integrated Delivery Center occupies around 5000 m2 and with this new wing not only the services areas have grown, but new offices, meeting rooms and a reception area have been formed to serve the colleagues. In Juni, 2008 we started to build up a third wing, which is another big step in our IDC's life. With this growth we will have more then 850 workplaces.

At IDC Székesfehérvár we currently employ over 740 colleagues and we will grow further.
