IBM Data Storage Systems (DSS) is IBM's data storage systems production and assembly plant in Vác. As the only location in the world where IBM data storage sub-systems are produced, the plant has a continuously expanding range of products.
IBM DSS prides itself on being one of the largest employers in the Vác area. In addition to Vác residents and people from nearby communities, we also welcome applicants from Budapest, as Vác can be reached from the capital city in just 25 minutes and offers a modern, friendly and less polluted alternative to Budapest residents. IBM DSS earned a Family Friendly Workplace title in 2007 in recognition of its efforts to assist employees in achieving an ideal work/life balance.
At the Vác-based plant of IBM DSS, currently, subsystems are assembled, and this is the only location in the world, so the number of the manufactured machines is constantly growing.
The main areas where these systems are exported are in the European, American and Eastern markets.
Our company has won the title of Family Friendly Workplace 2007, which was announced for the 8th time this year by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour. The prize was handed over by Dr. Gyula Tarcsi the Secretary of State for Coordination at Pécs on 15th of May, 2007.
Those small, medium and large companies and Government Funded Organization were remunerated, whose success is assisted by the arrangement which take into consideration the working and family obligation of their employees. The awarded companies are entitled to use "The Family Friendly Workplace 2007" name and logo.
