How would you describe your role?
"I cover Workforce Management for Global Services (IGS). Each year I make sure we hire a cross section of young graduates, experienced people, male, female to cover diversity. That means looking at people coming in and going out. More than 50% is people moving within IBM. We assess our resources in thousands of ways through HR systems and analysis of database information. Recently I have been looking after consultants making the transition from PWCC.
How do you find working here as a woman?
Women genuinely have the same opportunities within IBM. In Human Resources we are really focusing on diversity and women right now. For example we place a huge emphasis on flexible working for mothers. Just because you have three children is not an obstacle for working here. There is a lot of support for women, which I know doesn't happen in many other companies."
