What we offer

High school graduates the opportunity to:

• Have one year of practical work experience before starting their course of studies
• Choose between a wide range of job areas, such as consulting, IT, services, marketing, sales, HR, finance and procurement
• Be thoroughly trained in the new area of responsibility and be supported by a mentor in all technical and specialized areas
• Avail of a wide range of training courses, such as courses on operating systems, network products, databases, Internet, Lotus and Microsoft applications
• Earn an attractive internship salary in return for committed and customer-oriented work

On the successful completion of the internship:

• Receive a job reference confirming 'at least one year regular work experience' in accordance with Art. 5, Paragraph 2 of the Fachhochschulgesetz (Universities of Applied Sciences Act), thereby ensuring high school graduates are accepted at universities of applied sciences without having to sit a prior examination.
• Have the opportunity to work part-time as a working student at IBM during the student's course of studies.

Your profile

ideally comprises the following:

• Candidate holds a university entrance certificate (Matura, regardless of Matura type) with the aim of commencing studies at a university, university of applied sciences or institute of higher education
• Good grades in German and English, and also in mathematics for the area of IT
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Team player; Flexible
• Good IT user knowledge
• Ability to work one year without extended absences (military service, travel etc.)
• Swiss citizenship or a valid permanent residence and work permit
