Are you ready for IBM?

What we look for

We’ve given you an idea of what IBM has to offer and what life would be like if you worked here. But there is only one way to know for sure and that is by actually being here. So, take a look at what we look for in our graduate hires and understand a little more about our selection process. If you choose to apply, our advice is to keep in mind that the ability to work as part of a team, your personal drive to achieve, innovative thinking and the desire to make a difference, are as important to us as academic achievements.

Your Profile

It is a myth that IBM is only interested in graduates with an IT background! Not all our vacancies require a degree in information technology. Nevertheless, graduates from the area of IT continue to be irreplaceable!

As one of the biggest consulting firms in the world, we also look for just as many graduates with a degree in business, economics or from other fields of study, depending on suitability.

Our corporate values describe what guides us as a company, while the IBM Foundational Competencies define our procedures that create and maintain a values-based high-performance culture. Our nine Foundational Competencies comprise features and characteristics that are essential for outstanding professional services. These competencies and the related behavior patterns apply to all members of staff, regardless of their job, location or business unit.
