As part of the DS4000™ Series, the DS4700 Express offers high-performance 4 Gbps capable Fibre Channel connections, up to 33.6 TB of Fibre Channel physical storage capacity, up to 84 TB of SATA physical storage capacity, and powerful system management, data management and data protection features. The DS4700 Express is designed to expand from workgroup to enterprise-wide capability with up to six Fibre Channel expansion units with the DS4000 EXP810 Expansion Unit.

The IBM System Storage™ DS4200 Express Model 7V disk storage system is an SATA-only disk storage solution designed to be an economical alternative for data archiving, reference data, and near-line storage applications. With four 4 Gbps Fibre Channel host ports, the system is designed for high throughput for your most demanding applications. The 3U system also features redundant, dual-active intelligent RAID controllers supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 3, 5, and 10. The DS4200 has an internal physical storage capacity of up to 12 TB using optional DS4200 750 GB Enhanced Value Disk Drive Modules (GBPS). Physical storage capacity can be increased up to 84 TB by attachment of up to six EXP420 Storage Expansion Units.

The TS2230 features an LVD Ultra160 SCSI interface attaching to IBM p5, System p™, i5, System i™, System x™, RS/6000®, RS/6000 SP™, AS/400® and Netfinity® systems as well as to non-IBM servers and workstations. As a SCSI attached tape solution, the TS2230 connects to Fibre Channel server adapters through selected IBM Storage Area Network Data Gateway products.
