IBM's Corporate Community Relations |
| |
| 'IBM combines its technology and its people, in effective partnerships, to bring solutions to the systematic problems that impact society, and our quality of life'. |
IBM, through the Corporate Community Relations function, has a long-established commitment to corporate social responsibility. This principle is firmly embraced by IBM’s belief that it makes good business sense to contribute to the well-being of the society in which it conducts its business. |
| |
| In leading IBM’s commitment to corporate citizenship it is our job to raise the quality of our public education for all students. While IBM has undergone a number of phenomenal changes over the years, we maintain a deep and abiding sense of responsibility to support communities in which we live and work, as well as well as a long-standing tradition of contributing to their overall well-being. We can think of no better way of fulfilling our responsibility and honouring this tradition than by investing in our schools. Our schools are critical to the health and well-being of our communities. They help mould our young people into socially responsible citizens who contribute to and further the ideals of a free and open society. |
| |
Leading IBM’s commitment to corporate citizenship is our work to raise the quality of our public education. There is no other social issue more critical to the future of this or any other company , the future of the global economy, and the future of our society than how well we educate our children. |
