As a result of intensive research, IBM has created an Next Generation Network solution, which deals with the core subjects and forward-looking solutions for telecommunications service providers as well as companies outside the industry. This solution is, for example, also being used by Deutsche Telekom AG.
The IBM Next Generation Network Competence Center forms the central contact point for prospective customers both within and outside the telecommunications industry who are interested in a standard, service-oriented and future-proof Next Generation Network solution.

The NGN Competence Center’s areas of expertise primarily include the development of the Next Generation Network. The NGN is developing solutions for
- Fixed network substitution
- Fixed network simulation
- Convergence of networks.
What makes the NGN Competence Center special is that it can tailor concepts for the realization of system integration projects. The Competence Center will therefore guide your plans for the future, from inspiration to implementation.
To bring the subject of NGN to life and to apply it in practice, two Briefing Centers have been opened in Germany, one in Frankfurt Nied and the other in Stuttgart.
Here you will find demonstration stands and a wide range of workshops on various issues and their solutions. The NGN Competence Center complements that offer with individual training sessions and support activities.

The NGN-Factory is the answer to problems regarding fixed network substitution, fixed network simulation and, above all, network convergence.
The NGN-Factory can respond individually to a customer's current situation and requirements by means of various appliances and organizational structures.
