Secure HTTPS-based data upload

The IBM Enhanced Customer Data Repository (ECuRep) Secure HTTPS interface is intended for customer file upload that require secure data transmission.

Please note that due to web browser limitations only files up-to 2 GByte can be uploaded.

In a first step PMR number, Branch Office and Country Code need to be entered and an upload directory needs to be chosen. This directory allows us tailored backend processing per platform or per software brand. In addition an eMail address might be entered. This address is used to send an eMail notification as soon as the upload was successful.

On the second web page, up to five files can be selected for upload. If Javascript is enabled, a page will be displayed during the data upload providing information about the upload progress like total upload size, current possition, elapst time, estimated time left and estimated upload speed. If Javascript is disabled, no such information can be provided. The browser window needs to be kept open until a new web page is displayed showing information about the succeeded upload. Leaving or closing the upload page will terminate the upload process. All data for failed uploads will be removed from the web server.

No file naming convention is required for Web-based data upload because PMR number, branch office and country code are automatically prefixed to each file uploaded.

The ECuRep HTTPS interface is tested using Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
