November 2007: Der neue Bericht von Gartner Dataquest "Servers Quarterly Statistics Worldwide," Q3, 2007" zeigt auf, dass IBM (NYSE: IBM) weiterhin den Großteil des weltweiten Serverumsatzes für sich verbuchen kann. Das Unternehmen hält im dritten Quartal 2007 einen Marktanteil von 30,1 Prozent nach Umsatz. [1]

Laut Gartner haben IBM System z Großrechner in der Preisklasse ab 250.000 US-Dollar im dritten Quartal 2007 einen weltweiten Marktanteil nach Umatz von 31 Prozent erzielt und sind damit die stärksten Vertreter in diesem Segment. [3]
Die neuen Zahlen zeigen außerdem, dass IBM in Nord- und Südamerika im dritten Quartal 2007 mit 31,8 Prozent und in Asien mit 30,9 Prozent die dortigen Servermärkte nach Umsatz anführt. [4]

IBM Is the Leader in Worldwide Server Revenue for Q307 According to Leading Industry Analyst Firm
ARMONK, NY - 26 Nov 2007: Gartner reported today that IBM (NYSE: IBM) continues to hold the number one position in worldwide server revenue share, with 30.1 percent revenue share in the third quarter of 2007. [1]
"We believe IBM's eight consecutive years of leadership in the worldwide server market is a testament to our commitment to technology innovation for our clients," said Bill Zeitler, senior vice president and group executive for IBM Systems & Technology Group. [2]
According to Gartner, IBM's System z mainframe led servers priced at $250,000 or more with 31 percent worldwide revenue share for 3Q07. [3]
IBM also led 3Q07 revenue share in the Americas (US, Canada, and LA) with 31.8 percent and the Asia Pacific, Japan regions with 30.9 percent, according to Gartner. [4]
